<title><value>Hyundai, 20 years of solidarity with The Children’s Desert</value></title>

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, The Children’s Desert initiative honored the small town of Ouzina, a significant location in its history as the first recipient of school materials back in 2005. This year’s edition faced challenging weather conditions including storms and sandstorms that altered camp locations but didn’t hinder the completion of solidarity actions.nnThe caravan, consisting of 39 vehicles with 132 participants, embarked on a nearly 2,000 km journey from Tangiers through diverse terrains. Despite difficulties posed by sandstorms creating dunes on tracks, all vehicles reached Ouzina without issues. Here, one of two libraries funded by Hyundai dealers was established for use by Spanish and Moroccan children under adult supervision.nnThe Hyundai IONIQ 5 led the convoy to Ouzina and drew considerable attention as it marked the first time an all-electric car had ventured into this remote desert area. Alongside IONIQ 5 were other Hyundai models like KONA (Spanish Car of the Year), STARIA, TUCSON, and SANTA FE which navigated southern Morocco effortlessly.nnLeopoldo Satrústegui from Hyundai Motor Spain expressed pride in their evolving project over two decades—from SUVs to electric cars—emphasizing education’s role in societal progress while looking forward to continued collaboration with partners like ALAIN AFFLELOU Foundation and Hankook.nnAll Hyundai vehicles used Hankook Dynapro HP2 tires designed for SUVs that performed exceptionally well despite low pressure due to soft terrain conditions encountered during this edition.nnThe ALAIN AFFLELOU Foundation opticians conducted eye checks for four days on 370 individuals across various villages exposed to high levels of sunlight daily. With Indo Optical’s support providing lenses assembly in Tangiers, they will distribute prescription glasses enhancing visual health and life quality.nnSolidarity highlights included setting up libraries donated by Hyundai dealerships—one each at Tisserdimine village and historical Ouzina—and delivering road safety educational material provided by CiFAL Madrid-RACE due to recent highway developments near Ouzina village aimed at preventing accidents among children.nnBujarkay truck transported all materials bought within Morocco including those delivered to Erfoud’s association for disabled persons—a long-term collaborator with The Children’s Desert organization. Promyges 4×4 equipment proved invaluable during difficult sandy track conditions experienced this year.nFor more information about The Children’s Desert initiative or updates from partners involved:nnWebsite: www.eldesiertodelosniños.comnInstagram: eldesiertodelosninosnFacebook: desiertodelosninosnTwitter: @desierto_ninosnnAbout Hyundai Motor Europe HQ:nEstablished in Offenbach Germany since 2000 overseeing sales across European countries maintaining market share through numerous outlets where most sold models are engineered locally catering specifically European customers’ needs produced within Czech Republic & Turkey plants.nIn line with ‘Progress for Humanity’ vision aiming zero-tailpipe-emission vehicle sales exclusively by year-end offering unique Five-Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty package ensuring customer satisfaction throughout region.nMore details available at www.hyundai.news; follow them via Twitter @HyundaiEurope or Instagram @Hyundai.EuropennContact Information:nAdriana Cerami – Head of Corporate & Brand PR acerami@hyundai-europe.com +49(0)69-271472 –614 nElvira Herrera – Corporate Communications Expert eherrera@hyundai-europe.com +49(0)69-271472 –255
