- Autoglym granted fourth successive Royal Warrant since 1991; previously recognised by the then Prince of Wales and the late HM Queen Elizabeth II
- Award winning car care products to be used on Royal Household’s entire fleet, including iconic state cars used at events viewed by millions around the world
- “Immensely proud” to be the only car care manufacturer, and one of only 145 businesses, included in His Majesty’s first round of Royal Warrants
Letchworth, 30 May 2024: Autoglym, the UK’s largest vehicle care brand, has been granted a Royal Warrant from His Majesty King Charles III for the supply of car care products to the Royal Household. The company is the only car care product manufacturer among the 145 companies included in this important first round of Warrants, which is reserved for those who have previously been granted the honour.
Autoglym has held Royal Warrants for over 32 years. The first was given in 1991 by the then Prince of Wales, with further Warrants subsequently granted by the late HM Queen Elizabeth II and by the late HM The Queen Mother.
Autoglym products will continue to be entrusted to maintain and protect all vehicles in the Royal Household’s fleet, which includes The King’s daily limousines and support vehicles, as well as the highly prestigious state cars that are used for formal occasions and events, and regularly viewed by millions around the world.
Paul Caller, CEO of Autoglym, said: “We’re immeasurably proud to once again be granted a Royal Warrant by His Majesty. It says a great deal that our products are entrusted to maintain and protect the lustre of some of the most visible and valuable vehicles in the world.”
Royal Warrant holders are companies representing a large cross-section of trade and industry, united by a commitment to the highest standards of service, quality, excellence and craftsmanship.
Over the next few months, The King’s Royal Arms will be added to all Autoglym products and displayed at its headquarters and production facilities in Letchworth Garden City, North Hertfordshire, UK.
Iconic Royal vehicles
The diverse Autoglym range will continue to be used to clean and protect all vehicles in the Royal Household’s fleet including: two Bentley limousines (provided for Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee), a 1950 Rolls-Royce Phantom IV (one of only 18 made, purchased by the late Queen prior to her coronation), a 1962 Rolls-Royce Phantom V, and a 1977 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI (most recently used by Princess Eugenie during her wedding day in 2018).
His Majesty’s private fleet is also thought to include a 1970 Aston Martin DB6 Volante; a gift from the late Queen for His Majesty’s 21st birthday and famously used by the then Royal Highnesses, The Prince and Princess of Wales on their wedding day in 2011.
Criteria for Royal Warrants
To be eligible for a Royal Warrant, a company must have sold goods or services to a member of the Royal Family for at least five years, and, as part of the application process, demonstrate how it meets strict service and support criteria, and continues to make progress regarding environmental awareness and compliance.
